Description

Fresh, crisp watermelon fries cut into fry-shaped sticks and served with creamy coconut lime or strawberry yogurt dips, making the perfect summer snack or party appetizer.

Ingredients

For Watermelon Fries:

  • 1 medium seedless watermelon (firm and ripe)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Chili powder or Tajín
  • Honey or agave syrup
  • Coconut flakes
  • Fresh mint leaves

For Coconut Lime Dip:

  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

For Strawberry Yogurt Dip:

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup fresh strawberries (mashed or blended)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Wash the watermelon thoroughly and pat it dry.
  2. Slice off both ends to create a flat base.
  3. Cut the watermelon in half, then slice each half into 1-inch-thick slabs.
  4. Cut the slabs into long, fry-like sticks.
  5. Drizzle with lime juice and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  6. For the dips, mix each set of dip ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
  7. Chill both the fries and dips for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a sharp chef’s knife for clean, even cuts.

Chill the watermelon before slicing for a firmer texture.

Both dips can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
