Description

Burrata with Garlic Olive Oil & Toasted Bread is a rich and easy starter that lets the cheese shine. Warm garlic-infused olive oil adds bold flavor, while toasted bread gives the perfect crunchy contrast.

Ingredients

8 ounces burrata

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

3 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

1 teaspoon chopped basil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 baguette or sourdough loaf, sliced and toasted

Instructions

1. Add the olive oil and garlic to a small pan over low heat.

2. Warm the oil for 2 to 3 minutes until the garlic smells fragrant but does not brown.

3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in parsley, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

4. Place the burrata on a serving plate.

5. Pour the warm garlic olive oil over the burrata.

6. Serve with toasted bread on the side.

Notes

Keep the heat low so the garlic stays sweet and does not turn bitter.

Let the burrata rest at room temperature before serving.

A drizzle of balsamic glaze is optional if you want a sweet contrast.
