Description

Cinnamon French Toast Sticks with Maple Dip are golden, soft, and perfectly spiced for a crowd-pleasing brunch treat. Thick bread strips dipped in a cinnamon egg custard and pan-fried until golden, served with a sweet maple cream dipping sauce.

Ingredients

6 thick slices brioche or Texas toast, cut into strips

3 large eggs

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar

2 tablespoons butter

Powdered sugar for dusting

For the maple dip:

1/2 cup maple syrup

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Cut the bread slices into thick strips.

2. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar in a shallow bowl.

3. Dip each bread strip into the egg mixture, coating all sides.

4. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

5. Cook the French toast sticks for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.

6. For the maple dip, beat cream cheese with maple syrup and vanilla until smooth.

7. Dust the French toast sticks with powdered sugar.

8. Serve warm with the maple cream dipping sauce.

Notes

Use day-old brioche for the best texture as it absorbs the custard without falling apart.

Keep cooked sticks warm in a 200°F oven while finishing the rest.

Swap cream cheese dip for plain warm maple syrup for a simpler option.
