Description
Classic Guacamole is fresh, creamy, and full of bright flavor from lime, cilantro, onion, and ripe avocados. It comes together fast and works perfectly as a dip or topping.
Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 small Roma tomato, diced
1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
2. Mash the avocados with a fork until mostly smooth but still slightly chunky.
3. Add the tomato, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
4. Stir until everything looks evenly combined.
5. Taste and adjust the salt or lime juice if needed.
6. Serve right away with chips or fresh vegetables.
Notes
Cover the surface of the guacamole tightly with plastic wrap if you need to store it briefly.
Use ripe avocados for the creamiest texture.
Add extra jalapeño if you want more heat.
