Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced on a bias into rounds
1 pound ripe Roma or vine tomatoes, diced
1/3 cup fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
3 cloves garlic, 2 minced and 1 whole for rubbing
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Flaky sea salt for finishing
Instructions
1. Dice the tomatoes and transfer to a bowl, discarding excess juice and seeds.
2. Add the minced garlic, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
3. Stir to combine and let the mixture marinate for at least 10 minutes.
4. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
5. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil on both sides and arrange on a baking sheet.
6. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until golden and crispy.
