Ingredients

2 large English cucumbers

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

4 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced

Capers or microgreens, for garnish

Instructions

1. Slice cucumbers into 1/2-inch thick rounds and pat dry with paper towels.

2. Mix cream cheese with dill, chives, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Spoon or pipe cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber round.

4. Top each bite with a small piece of smoked salmon.

5. Garnish with capers or microgreens and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat cucumber slices dry to prevent slippery texture.

Use a piping bag for neat cream cheese presentation.
