Ingredients
8 ounces halloumi cheese, cut into cubes
24 cherry tomatoes
24 fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
12 small skewers or toothpicks
Instructions
1. Thread the cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, and halloumi cubes onto each skewer.
2. Brush the halloumi lightly with olive oil.
3. Grill the skewers for 1 to 2 minutes per side until the halloumi turns golden.
4. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with black pepper.
6. Serve warm.
Notes
Halloumi grills best when it is dry, so pat it before cooking.
Do not grill the skewers too long or the cheese can become too firm.
