Description

Pineapple Watermelon Salsa combines juicy watermelon and pineapple with red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime juice for a refreshing summer appetizer. It pairs perfectly with tortilla chips or grilled meats for tropical flavor.

Ingredients

2 cups watermelon, diced

2 cups fresh pineapple, diced

1/2 red onion, finely diced

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt, to taste

Instructions

1. Dice the watermelon and pineapple into small uniform pieces.

2. Finely dice the red onion and mince the jalapeño, removing most seeds.

3. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.

4. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the salsa and toss gently to combine.

5. Season with salt to taste and let sit for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm watermelon and pineapple for best texture.

Let flavors meld for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Adjust jalapeño amount based on preferred spice level.
