Description

Smoked Salmon Crostini with Dill features crisp toasted baguette slices topped with creamy cheese and silky smoked salmon. Fresh dill adds bright flavor to this elegant party bite.

Ingredients

1 baguette, sliced into 16 rounds

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

4 ounces smoked salmon

2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon capers, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.

3. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.

4. Bake the slices for 6 to 8 minutes until golden and crisp.

5. Add the cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, and black pepper to a bowl.

6. Stir until smooth and evenly combined.

7. Spread a small amount of the cream cheese mixture on each toasted slice.

8. Top each crostini with a piece of smoked salmon.

9. Garnish with extra dill and capers if desired.

10. Serve immediately.

Notes

Toast the baguette slices until crisp but not hard.

Use room temperature cream cheese for the smoothest spread.

Add the salmon just before serving to keep it looking fresh.
