Description

Smoked Salmon Platter with Cream Cheese & Capers is an easy cold appetizer that looks impressive and takes only minutes to assemble. Silky smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, lemon, red onion, crackers, and fresh dill create a simple serving board for brunch or entertaining.

Ingredients

8 ounces smoked salmon

1/2 cup cream cheese

2 tablespoons capers, drained

1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 lemon, cut into wedges

16 crackers or small toasted bread slices

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Optional cucumber slices for serving

Instructions

1. Place the cream cheese in a small bowl or spread it directly onto one area of a serving platter.

2. Arrange the smoked salmon in loose folds across the platter.

3. Add the capers, red onion, dill, and lemon wedges around the salmon.

4. Place the crackers or toasted bread around the edges of the platter.

5. Add cucumber slices if using.

6. Season lightly with black pepper.

7. Serve immediately while chilled.

Notes

Use a large platter so the ingredients look open and easy to grab.

You can whip the cream cheese with a little lemon juice for a softer spread.

Keep the platter chilled until serving time.
